PURPOSE:To improve the bonding strength by inserting a cam piece made of ceramics provided with an insertion hole having a configuration identical to the sectional configuration of the main shaft body, and fixing the main shaft body at least in front and rear of the cam shaft by means of a resin member in the cam shaft structure of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:The cam piece 1 is made of ceramics, and at its substantially central portion is formed an insertion hole 2 for inserting the main shaft body of a non-circular section. The periphery of the opening of the insertion hole 2 is formed into a recessed part. The cam piece 1 is inserted through the main shaft body 4 having having a sectional configuration identical to that of the insertion hole 2, and the rein member 5 is fixed to the main shaft body 4 in front and rear of cam piece 1. By this arrangement, the bonding strength the cam piece and the main shaft body can be increased. |
