An alpha -azolyl-keto derivative of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 represents optionally substituted alkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, R2 represents the grouping -CX1X2R3 or alkoxycarbonyl, R3 represents halogen, halogenoalkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, R4 represents the grouping -O-CO-R5, -O(S)-R6 or -O-S(O)n-R7, or alkylamino, dialkylamino, optionally substituted phenylamino or halogen, R5 represents alkyl, halogenoalkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, optionally substituted phenyl, optionally substituted phenylalkyl, alkylamino, dialkylamino or optionally substituted phenylamino, R6 represents alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, optionally substituted phenyl or optionally substituted benzyl, R7 represents alkyl, halogenoalkyl, optionally substituted phenyl or dialkylamino, n represents 1 or 2, X1 and X2 each independently represents hydrogen or halogen, and Y represents a nitrogen atom or the CH group, or a physiologically acceptable acid addition salt or metal salt complex thereof, which possesses fungicidal properties.
