PURPOSE:To reduce loads on a pinion driver by providing a mooring device for oil-pressure operation as a locking device for a hull and a pier, together with a pinion driver. CONSTITUTION:A hull is vertically moved to a desired position by means of a pinion driver not illustrated. Then, an oil-pressure cylinder 28 is shrunk, upper and lower oil-pressure cylinders 20 and a block 32 on the hull side are moved sideways, the teeth of the block 32 is moved from a broken line position 36a to a full line position 36, and the teeth 36 on the hull side is geared with a rack 3 on the pier 5 side. Then, the working prepressures of the upper and lower oil-pressure cylinders 20 are raised, a spring 35 is shrunk, the tip of a pin 33 is pressedly contacted with the bottom of a piston hollow 31, and the upside or downside of the teeth 36 is strongly geared with the rack 3. Thus, part of hull loads is applied to the pier 5 through the oil-pressure cylinder 20 of the mooring device, the pin 33, the block 32, the teeth 36, and rack 3, correspondingly reducing loads on the pinion driver. |
