PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium causing no curling and no creasing and having superior running stability by forming a polyimide or polyamide resin layer on a substrate film at the side opposite to a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic layer is formed on a substrate film by applying a magnetic paint, and on the opposite side of the film a polyimide or polyamide resin layer is formed. Polyphenylpyromellitic imide, poly-N-(4-phenoxyphenyl) pyromellitic imide or poly-N-(4-benzylphenyl)-pyromellitic imide is used as the polyimide resin, and 6-nylon, 6,6-nylon, 6,10-nylon, 11-nylon or copolymerized nylon is used as the polyamide resin. |
