Process for preparing anthraquinone compounds and use thereof

New 1-amino-4-arylaminoanthraquinone compounds which have an aralkoxy group in the 2-position and of which at least one of the aryl radicals is sulphonated are prepared by sulphonating the corresponding sulphur-free compounds; new compounds are suitable for use as dyes.
