The present invention relates to sulphonic acids of ditolylether sulphones of formula I <IMAGE> +TR <IMAGE> in which n is 0 to 6, each of x and y, independently, is 0 or 1 with the proviso that x+y is at least one, or salts thereof and condensates of the same with formaldehyde, which compounds are useful, inter alia, as dispersing agents for disperse dyestuff preparations.
