<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a detecting device of gripping with high detecting accuracy and stable detecting action, by detecting a biting by the difference between rolling reactions or signals equivalent to said reactions detected before and after the gripping of a material to be rolled to a rolling mill, and detecting a releasing by the same method as mentioned above. CONSTITUTION:A material 2 to be rolled is rolled by a rolling mill 1, and a detecting device 3 outputs a signal of rolling reaction. When the absence of the material 2 is detected by a detector 10, a memory device 11a outputs a signal inputted from the device 3 as it is, and when the existence of the material 2 is detected, the device 11a memorizes a signal inputted at that time and outputs it. At this time, a memory device 11b outputs an inputted signal as it is, and when the absence of the material 2 is detected, the device 11b memorizes a signal at that time and outputs it. The signals of the devices 11a and 11b are inputted to a subtractors 12a and 12b to subtract them from the signal outputted from the device 3, and then the results are inputted to comparators 4a and 4b. Signals of gripping and releasing are outputted respectively to be inputted to a memory device 5.</p> |
