PURPOSE:To provide a titled continuous casting device which withstands the static pressure of molten steel and is free from penetration of the molten steel by constituting the same of thin seamless metalic belts and block couplers which have the rigidity to support said metallic belts and remove the heat thereof and can move endlessly. CONSTITUTION:Molten steel is charged from a tundish 11 into a mold and is drawn as an ingot 12. The ingot 12 is in contact with thin metallic belts 13. The belts 13 are moved endlessly by means of driving or supporting rolls 14. The outer sides of the belts 13 are supported by metallic block couplers 15 having rigidity, and the couplers 15 are moved endlessly by means of driving rolls 16 at the same speed as that of the belts 13. The couplers 15 is cooled by spraying 17 refrigerants from the inside. Since this continuous casting device supports the ingot indirectly with the rigid bodies, supporting is stabler than in a system of supporting the ingot with hydraulic pads and the installation is simpler and lower in cost. |
