PURPOSE:To lengthen time of dewatering without enlarging the device by providing plural pressing sections that apply pressure in the direction to bring three facing cloths into close contact leaving spaces in the direction of advance of the three cloths, hanging three facing cloths between pressing sections on the rollers and folding. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 36 is driven, driving rollers 14, 38 moves three endless cloths 10, 12 to the direction shown by arrows A, B respectively. When sludge is supplied between driven rollers 18, 42, the sludge is held by three endless cloths 10, 12 of the facing section and moved to a pressing section 44. Pressing plates 48, 50 are driven and three cloths are compressed. At the time of pressing, movement of cloths is stopped. Then, timing rollers 26, 36 move in the direction of the driving roller 38, and the amount of movement of three cloths which sent into and sent out from the facing section is absorbed. When pressing operation is repeated while advancing the three cloths for each length of the pressing plate, sludge is surely subjected to pressing action twice in pressing sections 44, 46. Accordingly, pressing time is increased and water content is lowered. |
