SOLID WIRE FOR GAS SHIELD WELDING

摘要

PURPOSE:To remove rust and smooth feeding in an automatic welding machine by cleaning the surface of drawn wire alloy and covering with thin film of paraffin having melting point of specified temperature range. CONSTITUTION:The surface of drawn wire alloy of solid wire for gas shield welding is cleaned, and covered with thin film of paraffin having melting point of 35-65 deg.C (especially 40-50 deg.C). The quantity of applied paraffin is 0.5-5g per 10kg of the wire. The thin film of paraffin is of use for rust prevention of the solid wire and smooth feeding in an automatic welding. It becomes liquid of low viscosity and flows down when it comes to a power feeding part and volatilized and decomposed by heat of welding.
