PURPOSE:To carry-out tapping work continuously and correctly by allowing a shank equipped with taps at the top edge to stop revolution when pushed in by a nut material and then revolving said nut material. CONSTITUTION:A chuck 3 is installed at the top edge of a hollow spindle 2 bearing-supported onto a body 1 and revolved by a motor 4. A shank 20 equipped with taps 19 at its top edge is arranged in the spindle 2. A nut material 11 supplied from feeding devices 6 and 7 is pushed into a chuck by a pusher 13, and held. A spline 20a at the rear edge of the shank 20 pushed-in by the chuck material is inserted into a turn stop member 22 fixed on the body 1, and revolution of the spline is stopped. The shank 20 is pushed by a pushing rod 23 to tap the nut material. The tapped nut 21 is inserted into the shank 20 transferred in succession, and discharged from the rear edge of the shank 20. |
