PURPOSE:To rise the operating efficiency of a device and the abrasion accuracy of the cutting edge of a drill by removably attaching a drill edge abrading device to a machine tool and abrading the drill edge while keeping the drill to be mounted on the spindle of the machine tool. CONSTITUTION:A drill edge abrading device is constituted by providing a guide body 3 having a tilting guide face such as a square thread 3a on the outer peripheral surface of said guide body on a proper position on a bed 1 having a built-in electromagnet 2, rotatably supporting the one end part of a motor supporting frame 6 on the guide face 3a of said guide body 3, movably attaching in the vertical direction a motor 8 loading a rotary whetstone 14 to the other end upper face of said frame 6, and providing a centripetal tool 16 to set the central position of a drill D as well as a drill edge receiving stopper 23 restricting the drill edge position on the proper position on the upper face of said bed 1. Upon abrading a drill edge, it is performed by placing and fixing said device on the bed of the machine tool while positioning the each part of the device. |
