PURPOSE:To make a displayed waveform easy to see by a simple constitution wherein a picture-element display signal is generated as data are read out when a scanning line is in a higher or lower position on an image plane than that of a line corresponding to a crest value in each column. CONSTITUTION:An image plane is partitioned into picture elements in (h) columns and (v) lines, and each line is scanned to display a waveform. In this case, an address is set corresponding to each column, and each address is provided with a circuit M storing, as data, a line corresponding to a crest value in the pertinent column, a circuit VC specifying a line being scanned on the image plane, a control circuit HC reading out sequentially all the stored data in synchronization with the line scanning every time when one line is specified, and a comparison circuit CM generating a picture-element display signal as the data are read out when the specified line is in a higher or lower position on the image plane than that of a line corresponding to the data read out of the storage circuit M. In each column, a picture element in a higher or lower position on the image plane than that of the line corresponding to the crest value in the column is displayed. |
