PURPOSE:To perform the debugging work, etc. with high efficiency when new contents are displayed to a display of an electronic computer, by shunting the hitherto display contents once to a shunting display memory and therefore resetting and displaying optionally the contents of the memory. CONSTITUTION:A data bus 9, an address bus 10 and a control bus 11 are connected to a microprocessor MPU of an electronic computer, and an RAM12, an ROM13, an input/output buffer 14, etc. are connected to the buses 9-11 respectively. A key input device 3 is connected to the buffer 14, and the processor MPU is connected to the device 3. Then a display device DSC which controls the character display and the symbol display is connected to the buses 9 and 10 as well as to the buffer 14. A liquid crystal display element LCD is controlled by the circuit DSC. A display memory is set at the display DSC in correspondence to each segment of the element LCD. When new contents are displayed by the element DSC, the hitherto display contents are once shunted to the display memory under the control of the processor MPU. These shunted contents are optionally reset and displayed. |
