PURPOSE:To enable operations with an appropriate sludge content corresponding to the change in the nature of the soil, by calculating the nature of the soil by computing a resistance coefficient based on the differential pressure at the horizontal part of a sludge pipe. CONSTITUTION:A ladder 2 is fitted to the hull 2 of a dredger, a cutter 3 is fitted to the end of the ladder 2, a sludge suction pipe 4 and a dredging pump 5 are provided on the ladder 2, and a sludge pipe 7 and a dredging pump 7 are provided in the hull 1. By these pumps 5 and 6, sludge water is sent to a sludge- conveyor pipe 8. A detecting device for the nature of the dredged soil is constituted by a sludge water specific gravity detector 9 and a current speed detector 10 provided at the horizontal part of the sludge pipe 6, by two pressure detectors 11 and 12 provided separately at a distance l from each other, and by a differential pressure detector 13 connected between the two pressure detectors 11 and 12. The detected values of these detectors 9, 10 and 13 are inputted in an operational device 14, a resistance coefficient is obtained thereby, and the nature of the soil can be known therefrom. |
