PURPOSE:An aqueous ink, consisting of an aqous solution of a water-soluble dye containing triethanolamine salt of 1-benzamidohexanoic acid, capable of keeping a high degree of rust preventing effect for a long term and improved lubricity, and usable for ball point pens. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous ink obtaned by adding preferably 0.1-5.0wt% triethanolamine salt of 6-benzamidohexanoic acid to an aqueous ink composition containing a water-soluble dye, antimicrobial agent, surfactant, etc. in an aqueous medium containing preferably 5-20wt% ethylene glycol, ethyl cellosolve, etc. in water. EFFECT:The resultant ink will not abrade a ball caulking part even when used for writing as an ink for a ball point pen having a metallic tip holder, e.g. brass or nickel silver, for a long term, and the smooth writing suitability is kept till the end of writing. |
