摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a repeater, by providing a single collision detecting circuit in common with two systems of transmission lines, in a regenerative repeater mutually connecting both transmission lines to which a plurality of communication terminals are connected in common. CONSTITUTION:Two coaxial cables 14A, 14B are cascade-connected with a regenerative repeater 300 and an information signal between both coaxial cables is regeneratively relayed via the repeater 300. In the normal communicating operation, when a terminal of the cable 14A transmits the information signal, it is deected at a detector 310A and given to a control section 320 to close contacts S21, S4 and the signal from the cable 14A is regeneratively relayed to the cable 14B. When the transmission is done at a terminal of the cable 14b just after the relaying, a collision detecting circuit 312 detects the change in the DC level of a core 20B via the contact S4 and gives the result to the section 320. Then, the control section 320 discriminates it as collision, restores the contact S4, changes over contacts S5, S6 and transmits a collision signal from a collision signal generating circuit 324 to the terminal of both cables.
