<p>The implant forms an artificial root in a jaw to which a denture can be anchored, and comprises a sleeve (1) with cutting teeth (4) at one end and a number of apertures (5,6,7,8) in the sides. The end opposite to the teeth can incorporate a pair of diametrically opposed notches (3) for engagement by a driving tool. The tool used can consist of a body of external diameter such as to fit closely inside the sleeve and with a spindle at one end fitting between chuck jaws, also one or more spiral grooves running from one end to the other. The tool end opposite to the spindle can incorporate a cutter, and it can also have pins engaging in the notches.</p> |
