PURPOSE:To reduce slopping noise and whistling sound at a deflector by placing the same under such a car-speed-based variable control that the deflector is raised high when the car runs at a low speed while raised low when the car runs at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:When a sliding roof 3 is slided backward to widen an opening 2, a deflector 4 is raised by a certain angle by the energizing force of a coil spring 6. If a car speed is below 80km/h, for example, an attraction solenoid 8 is kept unexcited because a car speed sensor 12 is maintained open, on account of which a rod 7b will not be attracted so that the deflector 4 maintains said certain angle. The slopping noise may be thus reduced. On the other hand, if the speed is increased over a certain value, the car speed sensor 12 is closed to excite the solenoid 8 in cooperation with a opening roof detection switch 11 being closed so that the solenoid attracts a rod 7b. The deflector 6 is thereby turned in the closing direction to stand at an intermediate angle, whereby the slopping noise and the whistling sound may be reduced. |
