<p>The assembly includes a rigid support structure, multiple long reflective strips parallel to each other and horizontally mounted on pivots carried by the support structures and a linear heat collector placed facing the reflectors and parallel to them. A tracking mechanism rotates the reflective strips, as a group, to face the sun as the angle of elevation alters. The angle of the reflective strips is adjusted to ensure that the incident rays are always concentrated on the collector, requiring that the strips be a differing angles to the horizontal. To ensure maintenance of the correct angular relatively the strips are linked by a bar which displaces them all together when a tracking angle adjustment is made.</p> |
