PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet nozzle which is free of corrosion and deformation, by a method wherein an electroformed rod, in which a metal of a distinct type is adhered to a wire material having the same diameter as that of a nozzle hole, is cut into a nozzle tip, a cup-shaped concavity is formed in the nozzle tip, and the resultant work is finally processed by an electrolytic grinding to remove the wire material. CONSTITUTION:A metal 2 is adhered in an uniform thickness to a periphery of a wire material 1, having the same diameter as that of a nozzle hole, by a plating to form an electroforming rod 3. The electroforming rod 3, finished by grinding an outer diameter, is sliced to form a nozzle tip 4. The tip is then processed into a nozzle size which is enough to display a performance as a fluid jet nozzle, a cup-shaped concavity 5 is formed in one surface of the nozzle tip 4 by a drill, and it is finished into a smooth surface by lapping. A surface layer is dissolved for removal from both surfaces of the nozzle tip 4 by an electrolytic grinding process, and the bottom plate of the cup-shaped concavity 5 is formed in a thickness of ls. The nozzle tip 4, whose processing strain layer is removed as above, from which the wire material 1 is separated to complete a nozzle. |
