The gas regulator is partly connected to an oxygen container and partly to a patient feed pipe for oxygen therapy. In the regulator outlet part first and second nozzles are fitted, the first determining flow and the other pressure. The smallest area in the second nozzle is greater than the smallest area in the first, and between the nozzles is a valve arrangement for opening and closing the gas flow, and a device for monitoring the gas flow pressure. The nozzles are exchangeably fitted to make possible the alteration of the gas flow. In the valve arrangement piston is a channel so formed that a gas pressure is applied in a space behind the piston to act in ensuring the complete closure of the valve assembly.
