The invention relates to a continuous process for the thermal depolymerisation of polymers in a plurality of thermal treatment zones, where the polymer material to be depolymerised is transferred into an extruder, initially in the molten state, then heated to a temperature range which is suitable for thermal depolymerisation and partially thermally degraded, the resultant mixture of molten and gaseous material is then transferred immediately subsequently into a pyrolysis reactor fitted with a stirrer device, where the thermal depolymerisation is continued at the depolymerisation temperature with formation of gaseous products, and the gaseous products are finally condensed. |
