In thermally coupled operation of a steam boiler, preferably coal- or coke-fired, and units for degassing or for gasifying coal, hot combustion gases are branched off from the boiler furnace and passed as heat carriers for heating endothermic processes into plants for the generation of coal gas, the waste gases issuing from the gas generators and/or product gases being passed along heating surfaces of the steam boiler installation in order to release sensible heat. |
