The invention relates to a device for manufacturing corrugated pipes from thermoplastics with the aid of a so-called caterpillar take-off connected to an extruder. This take-off is formed by two endless rows of mould jaws, the mould segments (4) of which run in parallel side-by-side in a working zone located coaxially to the extruder die, and which form a closed hollow mould and at the same time enclose the plastic pipe. In order for the mould segments (4), which move end to end in guideways, to approach the pipe parallel to each other and withdraw from it again parallel to each other, rollers (5, 6) are mounted on their front and rear sides, which rollers engage in channels (9) of the guideways. Separate channels (9a, 9b), which are disposed with their incline offset with respect to each other, are provided at least in the areas of parallel displacement of the mould segments (4), the offset corresponding to the distance of the front roller (6) from the rear roller (5). <IMAGE>
