PURPOSE:To speed up original feed by providing two original feeding mechanisms, and carrying and holding the 2nd original to and at a recording position before the 1st original is discharged. CONSTITUTION:On platen glass 24, two original feeding mechanisms are arranged; and the 1st entire-surface belt 13 is extended among a couple of driving rollers 15 and a turn roller w16, and the 2nd entire-surface belt 14 is provided similaryly. The 1st original i carried to a position A and from counted numbers of a paper detection sensor 4 and a prescribed photointerrupter, that the 2nd original is shorter than the distance l between positions A and C is detected. Then, the 2nd original is received and stopped between points C and D. When copying is started in said state, the 2nd original is conveyed to and held at the position A before an orginal is discharged, and the 1st original is discharged. Therefore, the 2nd original is carried in before the original is discharged, so that original feed is speeded up. |
