PURPOSE:To render the structure of an atomizing apparatus simple and compact, by filling a pressurizing chamber with liquid, and oscillating a plurality of nozzles exposed in the pressurizing chamber by means of an electric oscillator so that liquid drips are ejected radially from the nozzles. CONSTITUTION:When positive voltage is applied, a nozzle plate 56 is deflected to the left since a piezo-electric element is expanded radially. Here, since the diameter of a nozzle 58 is small, the surface tension of kerosine prevents intrusion of air from the nozzle 58. Therefore, an amount of kerosine corresponding to the increased volume is drawn up from a pipe 15 into the pressurizing chamber 53. When negative voltage is applied, on the other hand, the nozzle plate 56 is deflected to the right, i.e., toward the pressurizing chamber 53, so that atomized particles 21 are ejected radially from the nozzle 58. Thus, since atomization of liquid is achieved through oscillation of the nozzle 58 itself, comsumption of electric power can be reduced. |
