In a control panel (1) for control of a dental furnace (1a) comprising a mains switch (2), adjustment elements (6, 8) for a temperature to be retained and for a final temperature, adjustment elements (5, 7, 9) for fixing time sequences, a digital display element (4) for the actual temperature, a display element (10) for time and a representation of the time/temperature diagram (15) of the furnace (1a) it is to be achieved that the operator receives a direct piece of information about the actual condition of the furnace without any intellectual activity, for which reason the adjustment elements are digital adjustment elements known per se (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) which are each unambiguously allocated to the relevant portion (16, 17, 18, 19, 20) of the time/temperature diagram (15). <IMAGE>
