PURPOSE:To detect the existence of a flaw line acoustically irrespective of surrounding noise, by measuring a resonance sound generated at a drum part resonating to a cutting sound. CONSTITUTION:Half-finished goods of ampules are placed on a caterpillar and are advanced intermittenly. During stoppage of a conveyer for a time, a cutter 5 is touched lightly to a neck 4 of the ampule and a flaw line is marred. Then, a sound collecting microphone 7 is contacted with a drum part 2 synchronizing with it and the resonance produced at the part 2 resonating with a cutting sound of the cutter, is caught. In the same way, the flaw line is marred on the neck by an opposite side cutter 15 and the resonance sound is caught by contacting a microphone 17 with the drum part synchronizing with it. Only effective components are given by the singals of the microphone 7, 17 through filters 21, 31 and these are inputted into comparators 22, 32 and then, the existence of the signal is recognized when it is exceeded the set value. |
