The present invention relates to a changeover valve having a housing with two ceramic discs which are supported therein, together produce the valve and conduct the water of an inlet line from a heat source either to a heating system or to a device for preparing water for general use. The invention comprises the one disc having three holes which lead to a housing connection, and the moving disc being provided, like a sector of a cylinder, with an annular channel which is constructed on only one end side and can be rotated about a centre axis which is common to the stationary disc, and the annular channel connecting the central hole to in each case one of the two other holes, the hole which is not connected not being covered by the moving disc and being connected to one of the two pressure connections, while the other pressure connection leads to the central hole. Since such changeover valves require only two different positions, a very simple design of the discs, of the housing and of the drive is possible.
