The invention relates to a process for demoulding deep-drawn containers of thermoplastic sheet. In this case, the containers are moulded in a moulding station, punched out and demoulded. The latter is carried out by a relative displacement taking place between mould bottom and side wall of the mould. If the container has undercuts, there is the risk of the container being displaced on the mould bottom or falling off during demoulding. This is intended to be avoided by the invention. This is achieved by using a vacuum to suck the container bottom against the mould bottom during demoulding, at least until the undercuts are demoulded.
