<p>In a device for coating workpieces with a liquid, for example for the electrostatic enamelling of motor vehicle bodies in a conveyor belt operation, with atomisation for the liquid, in which a liquid-pressure controller is arranged between a liquid changer and at least one atomiser connected to the liquid changer, a compressed air-controlled liquid controller is used. A thickened plate (58) which covers the inlet (52) for the coating liquid at maximum air pressure is attached to the membrane (48) of said liquid controller on the side facing the coating liquid chamber. As a result, an annular space is provided about the plate in the chamber. A groove (64) in the plate connects the inlet to the annular space. Rinsing liquid is passed into the inlet (52). The circumference of the chamber is cleaned particularly well by the flow of the rinsing liquid in the annular space. <IMAGE></p> |
