The starting element according to the invention is placed onto the shaft of electrical motors, to be precise between the bearing and the rotor laminate stack. The starting element is secured against rotation. It consists of two annular discs (1, 2), which can be connected to and detached from one another, the annular disc (1) engaging around the annular disc (2) on the exterior, in that a projecting ring (4) is provided in the peripheral region of the annular disc (1); when the annular disc (2) is inserted, then the ring (4) is intended to project, preferably with its outer surface (6), beyond the annular disc (2). It is furthermore part of the invention that this projecting edge (15) of the ring (4) - which in other respects is produced integrally with the annular disc (1) - is formed on its free end such that the oil is fed back.
