<p>The method for the manufacture of thin sections consisting of unidirectionnal continuous fibers embedded in a thermoplastic resin, comprises the impregnation of a sheet (1) of parallel fibers with resin particles, melting the resin forming the section and cooling the latter. The sheet (1) of fibers is quenched in a bath (26) of resin particles, the particles are caused to penetrate mechanically in the sheet, for example by passage of the latter on rollers (15, 16, 17) embedded in the resin particles and the excess of particles is removed to obtain the desired ratio of resin with respect to the fibers. Utilization of the sections obtained, particularly for reinforcing pipes on the outer side or for making molded particles.</p> |
