The contact facing surfaces (10, 11) of materials having a plurality of metal components of different solubility in an etching agent are subjected to a fine mechanical surface treatment. According to the invention, the damage layer on at least one (e.g. 11) of the two mutually opposite facing surfaces (10, 11) is subsequently removed by chemical, especially chemical-mechanical, subsequent treatment, and this facing surface (11) is provided with a significantly greater surface roughness (RZ2) than the other facing surface (10).
