Stabilised, injectable suspension for medicinal purposes, in which finely divided active substances or active substance combinations, optionally with auxiliaries, are suspended in a neutral oil, where the maximum particle diameter of the active substances is below 30 mu m and the proportion of the solid phase is below 30 % by weight of the suspension when medium-chain triglycerides of saturated fatty acid (complying with DAB 8) are used as neutral oil, and where the neutral oil contains in solution 0.05 % by weight to the maximum for saturation, in each case measured at 20 DEG C, of a dibasic, unsaturated acid. In a process for the production of the suspensions, the dibasic acid in the amount to be dissolved and the neutral oil are made sterile by the action of heat, the sterile active substances and auxiliaries are added, ground in the wet state and subsequently where appropriate the suspension is adjusted by adding further neutral oil. The active substances and auxiliaries can also be employed in micronised form.
