PURPOSE:To produce a ceramic coated steel plate easily, by superposing another blank rolled material on a blank rolled material with the ceramic melt sprayed layer formed on the surface thereof positioned on the inner side and subjecting both to hot rolling after soaking treatments. CONSTITUTION:A melt sprayed layer is formed on the front of a blank rolled material such as slab by direct melts spraying of ceramics thereto, and another blank rolled material is superposed thereon so as to cover the melt sprayed layer. The laminates are heated to a rolling temp. in a soaking stage to soften said ceramics and to decrease the compressive strength thereof. Since the ceramics is softened at the above-mentioned soaking temp., composite ceramics, etc. of low softening temps. are used according to need. After the ceramic layer which is held softened by the heat treatment is hot-rolled together with the laminates, the laminates are separated, whereby the coated steel plates are obtained. The above-mentioned other blank rolled material having the ceramic layer or melt sprayed metallic layer on the front surface is also usable. |
