<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently discriminate words including rejected characters, misreading characters, and shift in character position, by stepwise forming an effective character train or a replaced character train in response to the vagueness of reading characters. CONSTITUTION:An effective character train pickup section 6 reads out the content of an input word memory section 3, picks up K sets of reading character codes in the order of vagueness and transfers the codes to a prescribed address corresponding to the K value of the memory 3 in the order of series. After the end of transfer, a inter-word distance count section 7 reads out the content of this address, references a word dictionary table 7-1, sequentially picks up a word coincident with the content and counts the distance between an input word and this word. After the end of count, a discrimination section 4 outputs the result of discrimination to a terminal 9 based on the count value. If not determined and a word candidate exists, the code number is taken as K+1 and a pickup section 6 is again operated. Further, if no word candidate exists, a character replacing processing section 8 replaces character codes based on a replacement character table 8-1 and changes the content of the address of the memory 3.</p> |
