PURPOSE:To make the manufacture easy, by feeding a filler to a cut end of an oscillator, after fitting a matching layer to the front surface of an ultrasonic wave oscillator having electrodes for both sides in advance. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave oscillator 2 having a plurality of leads 4a, 4b on both sides is placed on a fitting stand 7 having a groove 6, both sides are tentatively bonded with an adhesives 8 which is molten with heat, and a material to be a matching layer is flowed into the space of the groove 6 and cured. Then, the oscillator 2 is cut off in the direction of leads and a cut end is poured with a filler 9 for curing. Further, an ultrasonic wave absorbing body 1 is bonded with the oscillator 2 and the stand 7 is removed with heating. Thus, the ultrasonic wave probe in which the matching layer 6 is uniformly and strongly fitted to the oscillator 2 with good efficiency can easily be manufactured. |
