<p>1. A safety belt buckle comprising a case (27) in which is disposed a U-sectioned support (1) adapted to be fixed to retaining means (5) fixed relative to the body of the vehicle and defining between its branches (1b, 1c), a guiding channel (11) for the bolt (P) opening out at one end of this U-sectioned support, the buckle further comprising a locking element (17) pivotally mounted in the U-sectioned support (1) on a pin which is perpendicular to the branches (1b, 1c) of this U-sectioned support, and a stop element (14) slidably mounted in these branches and retractable by means of a control knob (24) in opposition to the action of an elastically yieldable return device (20, 23), characterised in that it further comprises wedge-action locking means (26) for locking the bolt in the guiding channel (11) against the inner surface of the web (1a) of the U-sectioned support (1), these locking means cooperating with an active inclined surface (17b) formed on said locking element (17).</p> |
