A vehicle protection device comprises a plate 21 hinged to a support 20 fixed to the vehicle bulkhead and movable by a control arm 14a, 14b, 14c from an upright position in which it engages beneath and resists or prevents relative movement between the operating pedals to a lowered position in which the vehicle can be driven normally.
