PURPOSE:To prevent toner from scattering down, and to enhance image quality, by using a conductive roll with voltage applied same in polarity as the toner, on the recovery opening of the hopper of the toner used for electric printing using a multistylus electrode. CONSTITUTION:A toner T in a hopper is charged negatively with a doctor 3, and a uniform thin toner layer is formed on a donor 1, and positive charge is injected only on image parts with a multistylus electrode. As the donor 1 rotates, this image is transferred onto a recording medium S, e.g., paper, by using a transfer roll 7 and applying negative voltage to the reverse side of the medium, and the transferred toner image is fixed. The toner remaining on the donor 1 is prevented from scattering down from the hopper with a conductive roll rotating reversely. |
