<p>PURPOSE:To inform a driver at what position in relation to a car body an obstacle is located, by displaying in a screen the distance from each obstacle detecting sensor to the obstacle, and the merric relation between the car body and the obstacle, respectively. CONSTITUTION:An obstacle detecting sensor 21 is formed of a transmission sensor transmitting a signal wave from an oscillating circuit, a reception sensor 4 receiving a reflected wave from an obstacle, and a directional plate 2. A reception signal processing unit 22 determines a distance between the sensor 21 and the obstacle and an angle of the sensor 21, and makes these data stored temporarily in a latch buffer 11. A microcomputer MPU10 takes in data from the processing unit 22 and processes the same. A distance display unit 12 receives an output from MPU10 and displays the distance between the sensor 21 and the obstacle. A display 14 displays in a screen the metric relation between a car body fitted with the sensor 21 and the obstacle.</p> |
