PURPOSE:To detect the video recording state with a simple operation and less power consumption, by reproducing a video signal for a prescribed period from a video recorder and reproducer and discriminating the good or bad of the video signal. CONSTITUTION:A video recording processing instruction is given from a microprocessor 16 through the operation of a video recording confirming push button 20 and a video signal processing circuit 18 and a camera 3 of a VTR section 1 are ready for video recording. Then, the processor 16 gives a loading instruction signal to a magnetic tape control circuit 16. A video signal from the camera 3 is processed at the circuit 18 and recorded. When the video signals for a prescribed period are recorded, the processor 16 gives a rewinding and reproducing instruction to a magnetic tape control circuit 17 and the video signal for the prescribed period is applied to a discriminating circuit 19. The circuit 19 discriminates the good or bad of the applied video signal and the signal representing the result is given to the processor 16. |
