PURPOSE:To generate a reference reception signal of high quality by a method wherein a two-channel video signal generated corresponding to the scattering coefficient of a target is converted in frequency into an RF signal by using a locally-oscillated signal having the same frequency with the transmission frequency of a radar. CONSTITUTION:A digital signal computed corresponding to the scattering coefficient of a target is stored in a magnetic memory 1. The content of the memory 1 is read out under the control of a control device 5, and converted into an analog amount by D/A converters 4a and 4b, and becomes a two-channel signal. These signals are inputted in mixers 7a and 7b via low-pass filters 6a and 6b. The mixers 7a and 7b mix the output of a stabilizing local oscillator 8 having the same frequency with the transmission frequency of a radar with an output signal of each filter. An output of each mixer, which is converted in frequency, is composed by a magic T11, amplified by a high-frequency amplifier 12, and then delivered via a variable attenuator 13. By this constitution, a reference reception signal of a synthetic aperture radar can be generated simply and with high quality. |
