PURPOSE:To eliminate unstable operation due to mixing of noise, by avoiding a weight coefficient signal from being applied to transversal filter when the sum of weight coefficients of the transversal filter exceed a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A video signal after the processing of a transversal filter 5 is applied to a clamp A/D conversion circuit 7 and stored digital information signals including ghost information to a digital memory 10. An operation circuit 9 processes the stored digital video signals stored in the memory 10 and generates signals to control the weight coefficient in picking up an output signal from each tap of the transversal filter 5. A weight coefficient correction circuit 6 actually generates the weight coefficient of each tap and stores. Whether or not the weight coefficient of each tap exceeds a prescribed value is detected from the output of the circuit 6 and if exceeded, the weight coefficient signal is not applied to the transversal filter 5. |
