PURPOSE:To simplify the program job, by including a common instruction effective to both the main body and the peripheral device and information designating the name of device executing the instruction to a program instruction, and interpreting and discriminating an instruction and controlling a main body or a peripheral device. CONSTITUTION:A computer main body 5 is provided with a computer main body display section 1 and a character key 2, a connection cable 7 is connected to the main body 5, and a printer 6 is connected to the cable 7. A program instruction of the main body 5 is included with an effective instruction to both the main body 5 and the printer 6 as the peripheral device and information designating the device executing the instruction. The printer 6 is provided with an ROM storing new instructions for the use of the printer in addition to a device relating the print control, an instruction from the main body 5 is discriminated and the forming of program can be simplified. |
