PURPOSE:To obtain an NRZ-RZ signal converting circuit having excellent rising and falling characteristics, by superimposing an NRZ signal and a clock signal transmitted via a coaxial cable to input said signals to a comparison circuit. CONSTITUTION:A clock signal (b) is inputted to a base of a transistor 6, and the transistor 6 is turned on and off with the clock signal (b). When the transistor 6 is turned off, the collector goes to a high level and a clock voltage is produced. The generated clock voltage transmits a coaxial cable 9 to an NRZ signal source 7, is reflected at the end of the coaxial cable 9, and a signal (a) from the source 7, the original clock voltage and a superimposing voltage a' of the reflected clock voltage appear at the base of the transistor 4 of the comparison circuit and they are compared with a comparison voltage (c) of the base of a transistor 5. The converted RZ signal appears at a terminal (e). |
