PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recorder capable of recording letters, etc., with high speeds by a method in which a fine heat-storing element group to generate heat upon absorption of light is heated by irradiation of light of high heat energy density, e.g., lasers, infrared rays, etc., aligned on the recording portion of a paper. CONSTITUTION:A heat-storing element group 3 having a heat storing effect is aligned on the recording portion of a paper 2. Light from a light emitter 5 is irradiated onto a multi-faced mirror 6 turning with high speeds by a motor 7, and the heat-storing element group 3 is scanned one time each for every mirror face of the multi-faced mirror. The light is irradiated on each heat-storing element group 3 through a heat-storing element holder 4, where the light is absorbed and heat is generated. Since light of a high heat energy, e.g., lasers, infrared rays, etc., is used as the light source, each element is instantaneously heated, and a heat-sensitive ink is melted and recorded in dots on a recording paper 2 put between a platen 1 and the heat-storing element group 3 to form a letter, etc. |
