PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the flowability of developing agent particles by positioning the center axial line of magnetic poles of magnets of a supplementing roll nearly at the center line between both rolls, and shifting the center axial lines of magnetic poles of magnets of a developing roll from said center axial line. CONSTITUTION:A developing roll 7 and a developer supplementing roll 8 are so arranged that the magnetic brush 13 on the developing roll 7 is in contact with a photosensitive layer 1 and the magnetic brush 14 on the supplementing roll 8 is not contact with the photosensitive layer 1; and cross-linkage 16 between the magnetic brushes is obtained where both rolls 7 and 8 come closer. At this cross- linkage position 16, the center axial line X of magnetic poles N or S of magnets 12 for the supplementing roll is positioned nearly on the center line O1-O2 between both rolls. Further, the center axial line X shifts from the center axial line Y of magnetic poles S or N of magnets 10 for the developing roll. |
